1^st INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ELECTROTECHNICIANS' CONTEST

Age category:              Students from secondary schools

 

 

Subjects:                      1. Circuit Analysis

          2. Practical Construction

                            

                                               

 

          1)  Circuit Analysis

The contestants will analyze schematics of electronics circuits and identify deliberately introduced errors – 20 points

 

          2)  Practical Construction

          The contestants will assemble an electronics product from a given construction set based on a provided schematics.

Score:

                   - functionality – 50 points

                   - soldering quality – 10 points

                   - cleanliness and overall product appearance – 10 points

                   - time used – 10 points

 

          In case of the equal score, the jury will decide the winner based on the soldering quality. The functionality of all products will be tested  directly by the jury. In case the product is not functional for reasons not influenced by the contestants (for example a faulty part), the product  will be considered functional.

The organizer will decide on a time limit for the Practical Construction according to the product complexity before the start of the contest.

 

 

 

 

Awards.

          Three contestants with the highest score will be awarded diplomas and prize packages.

What to bring:

Every contestant will bring his or her own electrotechnician's tools, soldering equipment, paper, pen and pencil.

The organizer will provide accommodation and meals for the participants registered in advance.
